About the Role:
K. Payne Contracting, LLC is looking for a driven and experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize our day-to-day business operations in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to shape processes, build teams, and help take a growing contracting company to the next level. The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing daily business operations, improving organizational efficiency, managing resources, and ensuring operational goals align with strategic objectives. This role leads operational teams, develops performance standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
•Direct and oversee daily operations across departments.
•Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
•Ensure operational activities support organizational goals and objectives.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
Strategic Planning
•Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans.
•Identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and process improvement.
•Lead organizational change initiatives and operational transformation projects.
•Develop short-term and long-term operational goals.
Financial Management
•Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
•Monitor operational expenses and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
•Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
•Support forecasting and business planning activities.
Team Leadership & Development
•Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate managers and staff.
•Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
•Establish performance expectations and conduct regular reviews.
•Develop succession planning strategies for key operational roles.
